Equal Opportunities Policy
The Directors and managers are committed to ensuring that all members of staff are treated in a fair and equal way regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation or disabilities.
Summary of Policy:
- Whilst recruiting staff the decision will be placed on achievement and experience and not on race, sex and sexual orientation. Potential recruits with disabilities must be carefully assessed on their ability to perform the job and a positive and sympathetic view should be taken.
- There shall be a mutual respect for all fellow members of staff, at all levels. Any physical, psychological or sexual abuse will not be tolerated and will be seen as gross misconduct and could conclude in the offending member of staff being dismissed.
- Where possible we shall ensure that the overall make-up of the personnel recruited into the company shall represent a fair proportion of disadvantaged candidates and this policy should be kept in mind when promotion occurs.
-
Any incident of racial or sexual harassment should be reported to a senior manager immediately whether the offending person is a manager, supervisor, employee or customer.
The Board of Directors and managers will give their full backing to this policy and will expect the customer to do so likewise. We will endeavour to support all those who ensure that this policy is adhered to.
